Student Training Events – June 2012

As we’re coming towards the end of the academic year, this will be the last set of student training events till September.  These are focussed at Masters students who will be working on dissertations through the summer,  and second year students who will be starting work on their dissertations.  If you’d like to know about the following, please sign up on our website.

  • Preparing for your Dissertation.  6 June, 2pm—3pm
    Researching over the summer? This session will direct you to key resources, help you to devise and develop effective search strategies as well as giving lots of handy tips on how to find information for your chosen topic.
  • Producing your Dissertation Bibliography.  6 June, 3pm—4pm
    This session is aimed at postgraduate students who are completing dissertation bibliographies.  It will include finding full details for partial references, style and the use of RefWorks.
  • RefWorks: Referencing Made Easy. 13 June, 3pm—4pm
    An introduction to RefWorks.  Includes: RefWorks registration; creating your database; and using Write-n-Cite in Word.
