Welcome to this week’s round-up of library training events.

For Students we have the following sessions happening:

  • Avoiding PlagiarismWednesday 2 November, 2pm-3pm.
Find out about the importance of referencing and attributing other peoples work in your assignments, to avoid accusations of plagiarism. The session will explain how copyright impacts on your work and how LLR can help you prevent plagiarism.
  • Current Awareness: RSS Feeds and Social Bookmarking.  Wednesday 2 November, 11am-12pm. RSS feeds automatically keep you up to date with your favourite websites and database searches.  Social bookmarking sites allow you to access your internet bookmarks from any internet-based pc, and share them with other internet users worldwide.  This session will provide an introduction to both technologies.

For Staff, the following event is running:

  • Copyright: Your Use of MaterialsWednesday 2 November, 3pm-4pm. The session will introduce how you can use licenced materials in learning rooms and lectures and how Creative Commons can be used in relation to learning materials. There will be an opportunity to bring your own questions to the session for Liaison Librarians to answer.

All sessions can be booked on the library website.
