Welcome to another briefing of the week’s training events in the Boots Library.  Please sign up if you’re interested in attending.  These sessions are free, and the student events are accredited by the Student Union’s STRIDE programme.

  • Using RefWorks and Citing References.  Wednesday 11th May, 1-2.   An introduction to RefWorks.  Includes: RefWorks registration; creating your database; and using Write-N-Cite in Word.
  • Company Financial Databases, Wednesday 11th May, 2-3.  , Thursday 5th May, 1-2.  This session will be useful for all students who want to find out financial information,such as profits, turnover figures or share prices for companies. Learn how to use the FAME and Osiris databases.  FAME contains information for 3.5 million British and Irish companies while Osiris covers international companies.


  • Sharing Work with Creative Commons.  Wednesday 11th May, 3-4. Interested in licensing your work with a Creative Commons licence?  Unsure about the copyright implications, your rights and how to proceed? This session covers all these points and how NTU can support you in this process.
