Here’s a round-up of  this week’s training events in the Boots Library.  Please sign up if you’re interested in attending.  These sessions are free, and the student events are now accredited by the Student Union’s STRIDE programme.

There are other events going on across all three campus libraries, please check our website for more details.

Students

  • Microsoft Office 2010 – What’s New?.  Wednesday 9th March, 2-3.  This session will introduce a number of basic tools within Office 10 including: the ribbon, tabs, migration, compatibility and other tips.

Staff

  • Image Research.  Tuesday 8th March, 12-1; and Thursday 10th March, 2-3 .  This session will provide you with an overview of how to source images, and also some of the services that we offer, such as Creative Club, Land of Lost Content, and Bridgeman Education.
  • Open Access? Raising Your Research Profile.  Wednesday 9th March, 3-4.  Want to know more about how to raise your research profile by publishing via an Open Access route (i.e free for the end user to access)? This session will outline what Open Access is, how to make use of it and how to publish your work via this channel.
